The Angel Inside Us

The Angel Inside Us "I saw the angel in the marble and carved until I set him free." This amazing quote from the famous Renaissance artist, Michelangelo, has inspired artists and minds alike for centuries. Many sentiments can come from this quote. Some say he meant that the beauty is always inside us, the marble block representing the "walls" we put up to protect us from the outside world. Others say it's simply the "artist" view to all things, they see what objects could be rather than for what they are. Even the saying, "beauty is in the eye of the beholder," can still ring truth in this statement. What are your thoughts? With what the world is today, all the chaos, poverty, malnurishment, and negativity we view on the news, it is always nice to reflect on quotes like these and take a step back. All the division caused by media and politics in our country can simply be dissolved if we remember we are all human, and we all have the same wants, dreams, and goals in regards of wanting the best for our friends and families. Instead of allowing "isms" to divide us, we should all simply take a breath, remember there is good in all of us, and we should help "chisel" it out of each other. #kindakind #kindnessisbadass #articles Visit Kindakind.com to learn more
